Introduction
This course will introduce students to a general understanding and knowledge of children in the early years. Students will gain first hand experience by participating in work placement in a relevant childcare setting. The course is ideal for both school leavers and for mature students. On successful completing of the course students will receive a recognised qualification in the rapidly growing area of childcare. The course content relates to working with children from 0-6 years.
Duration
1 year - 4 days class contact, and 1 day work experience per week. Block release work experience will take place during the school year.
